We are very pleased to announce that Hotel Kossak is the official partner of the 30th edition of the Summer Jazz Festival Kraków – an event that has placed Kraków on the world jazz map for years!
We support this exceptional music celebration, which will once again attract music lovers from all over the world to the heart of Małopolska, becoming the largest jazz festival in Poland and one of the leading musical projects in Europe.
The jubilee 30th edition of the Summer Jazz Festival Kraków is a real treat for jazz enthusiasts. The festival will begin on June 30th at Kino Kijów, where two legends of Polish jazz will meet on stage: Adam Makowicz and Leszek Możdżer.
As emphasized by Witold Wnuk, Festival Director: "Kraków undoubtedly deserves the title of one of the world's summer jazz capitals. There is no other place on the map where top-level jazz concerts are held almost daily throughout the summer. The biggest stars – Grammy winners and artists admired around the world – come to the heart of Małopolska. We proudly celebrate this jubilee edition while preparing for the climax of the 30th anniversary celebrations of the Summer Jazz Festival Kraków next year."
As part of the prestigious Kraków Loves Miles series (July 25–27), artists associated with the legendary Miles Davis as well as outstanding trumpeters and world-class musicians will perform on Kraków stages. Among the biggest stars, we will see the unparalleled John Scofield (July 25, Kino Kijów) and charismatic Marcus Miller (July 26, ICE Kraków).
A special attraction will also be the concert of Kurt Elling (July 4, Kino Kijów), who will present a new program inspired by the work of the Weather Report band, with original arrangements of iconic compositions.
The festival excitement will culminate with a performance by Nigel Kennedy and Cleveland Watkiss, who on September 7 at the Auditorium Maximum UJ will present a joint multimedia project Cosmic Brothers.
"The festival is also a great celebration of the development of cultural tourism at its best and a perfect example of effective collaboration enabling the stable growth of the project. Year after year, we observe an increasing international audience at the Summer Jazz Festival Kraków from Germany, France, the United Kingdom, as well as from the USA and Asia, attracted by the exceptionally rich event program and the unique atmosphere of Kraków and Małopolska" says Weronika Wirtel, Strategic Partnership Manager.
The 30th edition of the Festival will feature over 140 concerts and accompanying events in renowned concert halls, clubs, open-air stages, and urban spaces of Kraków. Top-quality jazz will also be heard outside the city – in Rudno, Lusławice, and Nawojowa Góra, expanding the festival's musical map to charming locations in the region.
The Summer Jazz Festival Kraków is an event with a unique atmosphere, valued for its long tradition, the highest artistic level, unique character, and international prestige. This is not to be missed!
